Chart Setup

A price chart is important to apply my trading strategy. I personally use the Metatrader4. You can download it from the MetaQuotes website here;it’s FREE. We don’t need their latest terminal Metatrader5. We only need the chart & not the advanced features that come with the version5. After downloading & installing it,  you will have to open a demo account.. These are not complicated processes & can be easily completed. After logging in to the Metatrader4, now the screen should somewhat look like this..

Now close the Market watch, Navigator, Data window & the Terminal by pressing Ctrl+M, Ctrl+N, Ctrl+D & Ctrl+T respectively. Maximize any one of the charts, say USDJPY in timeframe H1. Then press Ctrl+G to remove the grids. Then press F8 & in the ‘Common’ tab uncheck ‘Show period separators’. Now your chart should look like this

Now, we have setup our chart for the analysis & finding the trade setup according to our trading system.
